Spending VC money wisely
Stopped by meebo's new (and still under construction) offices in Mountain View yesterday for a non-work-related visit. Like Google, meebo is all about products that focus on a great user experience - and it's enabled them to carve out a decent niche in a space with nontrivial barriers to adoption.
It doesn't seem to have gone to their heads though:
meebo registered users: 500,000+
meebo office signage cost: $.05 (possibly less)

Wouldn't this have been funny as a mock credit card ad:
Meebo...
Signage: $.99
500,000+ Users: priceless.
he he.
The sign is fine. It's a decent size, it has a very good contrast for sight challenged visitors. It looks like you don't have it too high, so it's just the right height for height challenged or wheelchair bound visitors. It should be transated into Espanol and also have raised Braille though. Tsk tsk. LOL!
(strolls off, whisting 'Oh Lord it's hard to be humble...')
It's SPECTACULAR!!!!
Someone could have at least sharpied the two dots beneath the "o". Other than that, it's perfect.
I like the FOB access! :P I have those in my building too...
the 'Meebo' sign is alright I believe (as a meebo user) that there should be some way of 'paying' for meebo wether its for 'extra' finctions etc. and that money could be used for lets say in this case a 'sign' but for something so simple it gives off a warm feeling it makes me want to open the door.
O wow! They put your blog entry on the meebo welcome blog thingy! You're famous now... sort of surprised you don't have several hundred comments by now... must be nifty to live near the meeboites.
ttyl, chao!
Tsk tsk... think of the price of the paper and the ink..
:)
